Music at Trinity
Music has long been a great strength here at Trinity. We have an abundance of talented people
who are willing to dedicate their time and effort to make worship at Trinity a richer more satisfying
experience. However, we are always in need of people who are willing to raise their voices to the
Lord in song and if you are willing and able, the Chancel Choir would love to have you join them.
They try to make the practice sessions light and entertaining while at the same time learning the
music to be sung for each Sunday's service.
Those willing and able to participate in any capacity are encouraged to contact David Faggart,
Director of Music, through the church office at 704.933.3550 or via e-mail at gwendavid@ctc.net.
Chancel Choir
We extend an invitation to you and anyone you know who is interested in singing praises to the
Lord. If you enjoy singing and you enjoy being around people, you will enjoy becoming a member of
the Chancel Choir. Our Director of Music, David Faggart, has picked some wonderful and inspiring
music for us to sing and we enjoy every moment that we spend practicing for and ultimately singing
these lovely songs at our Sunday service.
Please don't be shy. We have lots of fun and we help each other get the notes and the rhythm right.

Contemporary Band
Trewth, our Contemporary Band, plays the music that is heard and loved so much today.
Congregation participation has been excellent. Many of the musical pieces played have been heard
extensively. Other pieces are newer but no less effective. Since the format for the Contemporary
service is more free form it is easy to incorporate the new songs as part of the service.
If you enjoy contemporary Christian music and enjoy singing, this service will appeal to you. If you
would like to find out how you can become a part of the singers that participate on Sunday, we
encourage you to contact Tim Trew through the church office at 704.933.3550 or contact him via
e-mail at timtrew1@bellsouth.net.
Special Music
During special times of the year, we may include special music that complements the season.
From time to time, and for these special occasions, we may invite musicians who play the harp, the
violin, trumpets. This is done to supplement our own musical program and make it extra special.
During the Christmas Season we have our traditional Candlelight Service with the Chancel Choir
performing musical pieces. We also try to have some other groups from the Christian community
come to our church for the Candlelight Service to play some of the music that is special to them
during this season.
These and other special occasions showcase special music and are an integral part of Trinity
history.
