Ministry at Trinity

God has called each of us to travel on an amazing journey - together!   At Trinity Church, we believe
there are ways each and every one of us can experience all that God has for us. These are
expressed in our core values:

God is calling us to be a Passionate People of Faith!
Your faith becomes more passionate as you experience the grace and love of Jesus Christ and
allow the Spirit to move freely in your life. God wants to make His Word accessible and relevant to
you and people of all ages, so you can express your faith in the midst of real life and the real
challenges that come your way.

God is calling us to journey together in a Faith Community!
We are all wired for relationships. So your life becomes more fulfilling as you commit to connecting
with God, connecting with God's people, and bringing Jesus to God's world.  Trinity is a safe place
where you can grow with others in trusting and transparent relationships. We will honor each other
as we become a web of interconnected leaders and communities.

God is calling us to become Equipped and Empowered Disciples!
God will help you discover and be released in your unique strengths and calling. And you are not
alone!  We  encourage and hold one another accountable, and we partner with others--our school,
other churches, and others in our community--in advancing God's Kingdom movement. As in the
past, we will continue to find new ways to bring Christ to our community and world!

The Decision is Ours:

IF OUR CHURCH GROWS. . .

...it is because our attendance is regular and we invite and bring friends regularly.

IF OURS IS AN ACTIVE CHURCH. . .

...it is because we are committed to her ministries and give our time and influence to them.

IF OURS IS A SCRIPTURAL CHURCH. . .

...it is because we insist on nothing short of biblical preaching and teaching.

IF OURS IS A FRIENDLY CHURCH. . .

...it is because we are friendly, taking the initiative to meet and greet new and old alike each week.

IF OURS IS A REDEMPTIVE CHURCH. . .

...it is because we attend church school and other educational opportunities and desire to learn
more about the Bible.

IF OURS IS AN EDUCATED CHURCH. . .

...it is because we take the initiative to read and interpret the teachings of the Bible and apply them
in our own lives

IF OURS IS A GIVING CHURCH. . .

...it is because we give not just offerings, but also of our God-given abilities, time, energy, and
ideas.

On the lighter side....

The Organist

The minister was preoccupied with thoughts of how he was going to ask the congregation to come
up with more money than they were expecting, for repairs to the church building.  Therefore, he was
annoyed to find that the regular organist was sick and a substitute had been brought in at the last
minute.

The substitute wanted to know what to play. “Here’s a copy of the service,” he said impatiently “But
you’ll have to think of something to play after I make the announcement about the finances.”
During the service, the minister paused and said, “Brothers and Sisters, we are in great difficulty,
the roof repairs cost twice as much as we expected, and we need $4,000 more.  Any of you who
can pledge $100 or more, please stand up.” At that moment the substitute organist played The Star
Spangled Banner.

And that is how the substitute became the regular organist!

Words of Wisdom

Have a mind that is open to everything - attached to nothing.
Embrace silence.
You can’t give away what you don't have.
There are NO justified resentments.
You must send “blame” out of your life.
Don’t die with your music still in you.
You can’t solve a problem with the same mind that created it.
Treat yourself as though you are already what you would like to become.
Treasure your divinity.  Know that you are always connected to your source.
Wisdom is avoiding all thought that weakens you
